Few reasons to Visit Vagamon

Vagamon is a hill station in Kerala, India, located on the border of the Kottayam and Idukki districts. It’s 64 kilometers from Kottayam and 1,100 meters above sea level. Vagamon is also a popular destination for trekking, paragliding, mountaineering, and rock climbing. The Kurisumala monks also have a dairy farm nearby that some say is a delight to visit.

Vagamon has a cool climate, with temperatures between 10–23°C during the summer midday. It’s sometimes called the “Scotland of Asia” and is considered to be one of India’s foremost eco-tourism projects. Situated 64kms from Kottayam, this enchanting hill station at an elevation of 1100 metres above sea level is a trekker’s paradise.
